What makes it worth it – and what doesn’t

Fabulous views from both front and back porches! Gloria’s warm hospitality helped make our stay special, as did the adorable retro-style kitchenette and comfy beds.

Minor maintenance issues like a broken toilet and kitchen sink needed fixing! Bugs were present, and the exterior didn’t match the lovely interior.

Enjoyed the fishing nearby, but the shower had very low water pressure.

It was just an appropriate option for a rapid stop in Kernville with great value for the money. The actual bed in the suite was fine and provided a decent night's sleep. Bring your own shampoo if you care about your hair.

We had such a great time! The kitchen was adorable with retro appliances and made cooking super fun, while the water pressure in the shower was amazing. Having both a front and back porch felt like a cozy retreat. Definitely coming back!

The location across from the river was perfect, providing a charming atmosphere. However, the cleanliness of the floors left something to be desired, and the AC noise was a bit distracting. Overall, the stay was enjoyable, with great views and friendly staff to enhance the experience.

Perfect for families who want a fine getaway

This place is located right by a park and the river. We had a large front yard and back for my service dog, and Gloria at the front desk was super friendly, even gave my dog snacks! We felt so welcomed it was like home, and the fine views made it even better.

It was a bit pricey but worth it for the experience.

I had a fabulous stay for one night. The cottage was clean with a charming kitchenette. Amazing views of the mountains and the river added to the experience. Staff were friendly and attentive, especially Gloria. I’ll definitely return! 🌟

easy access to parks and dining right by the river

the charming vintage decor of my suite and the stunning views of the river made my stay incredibly enjoyable, and being so close to riverside park allowed me to take leisurely strolls while exploring the local landmarks in kernville.

I absolutely loved the charming decoration in our Standard Suite, with retro touches that made it feel cozy and welcoming. The accessibility was excellent, with easy access to the scenic park and river right across the street.

Some floors could use more frequent cleaning.

The views of the mountains and river were amazing, and having access to both a front and back porch was awesome. My friend and I felt right at home. Plus, the mini-split AC worked perfectly!
